We are thrilled to share an exciting accomplishment from the Municipality of Butig! Ms. Sitie Amina Pansar Ronda, the Municipal Tourism Officer, has announced that Butig is the first municipality in the province of Lanao del Sur to craft its own tourism development plan.
This groundbreaking plan aims to promote Butig as an emerging agro-eco tourism destination within the province. By focusing on sustainable and eco-friendly tourism practices, Butig is setting a new standard for responsible travel and community development.

We’re proud to share the incredible journey of the Sandab Demo Farm, a tangible output of the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Republic of Korea (ROK) Cooperation Fund (BKCF).
Carried out by Peace Crops in partnership with the Local Government of Butig, this innovative project has transformed from a vision to a thriving agricultural hub in just 1.5 years.
In this short video, you’ll witness the evolution of the Sandab Demo Farm from its inception to its current state. See how the farm has grown to include a training center, greenhouses, cozy cottages, and various farm facilities such as a fishpond, nursery, black soldier fly farm facility, solar and all-weather dryers, and lush gardens.
This journey showcases our commitment to sustainable and innovative farming practices, and it’s all thanks to the collaborative efforts of the BKCF, Peace Crops, and the Local Government of Butig.
