About Peace Crops Incorporated
Peace Crops, as a 2023 grant awardee of this program, is a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the social benefits of public health, non-formal education and training, cultural preservation, social integration and inclusion, as well as peacebuilding. We achieve these goals through poverty alleviation and development, focusing on social farming and agroenterprise.
Peace Crops’s project, Creating Livelihood Options through Agro-enterprise Development toward the Reinvention of the Municipality of Butig as a Premier Agro-Ecotourism Destination in Lanao del Sur, is among the eight projects in Southeast Asia awarded this grant.
About BKCF – The BIMP-EAGA-ROK Cooperation Fund:
The BKCF, established in 2021 by the Republic of Korea (ROK), aims to support inclusive and balanced growth in the Southeast Asia region and foster ASEAN Connectivity. This is achieved by strengthening the partnership between the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area) and the Republic of Korea (ROK). Through this collaboration, we hope to promote mutual understanding and sustainable development across the region.
Among the list of sectors from BIMP-EAGA’s Vision 2025 (BEV 2025), prioritization was given to the following sectors through consultations between BIMP-EAGA and the ROK: Environment, Tourism, Connectivity, and Agriculture & Fisheries.
